Steven Haag
Partner & Co-Founder
Over the course of his career, Steven led the launch of a new brand with Brookfield private equity backing (Cove) while modernising SACO, one of the oldest and most respected European serviced apartment brands. He helped to scale Sonder, a global hospitality business, from start-up to NASDAQ. On the side, Steven also decided to purchase and renovate a Scottish laird's manor into a whisky-focused hotel, Islay House.
Steven's initial career was as a restructuring and insolvency solicitor with Freshfields and Milbank, often acting for hospitality businesses going through OpCo/PropCo restructurings. He then moved into Bain & Co's private equity team, focused on travel, tourism and hospitality.
Steven is originally from the US, but has lived in London for over 15 years. He graduated summa cum laude (highest honours) with a Bachelors and Masters in History and Classical Civilisation from Emory University, followed by a distinction in his Masters in Finance & Management from the University of St Andrews and a law degree from BPP School of Law.

Maurice Atallah
Partner & Co-Founder
Maurice’s career has revolved around real estate investment and construction across its various disciplines. Along the way, he had the good fortune to work on some of London and Beirut’s most iconic buildings.
Maurice joined Chalegrove Properties in 2016. He oversaw the design and construction of the 162-room aparthotel in the Landmark Pinnacle (Western Europe’s tallest residential tower), and led the subsequent disposal process which culminated in a sale to Brookfield for £62.5 million. He later co-lead Chalegrove’s legal department, with a focus on drafting JCT construction contracts and creating custom legal structures to optimise the value of the residual freehold interests of the developments.
He started his career working on 3-Beirut, a $200 million GDV luxury residential project which is Foster + Partners’ first project in the region.
Maurice graduated with distinction from the American University of Beirut with a Bachelor of Engineering in civil and environmental engineering. He then graduated from the London Business School with a Master in Management with a focus on finance. Maurice also has a Master in Law from the University of Law, London.
